Kahwa Coffee has moved its corporate headquarters into a 24,742-square-foot industrial property in St. Petersburg and renovated the space.

The coffee roaster and café chain’s new office is at 4001 35th St. N. and also serves as its roasting operation, production space and training center. Kahwa previously worked out of a 14,000-square-foot office space on 44th Avenue in the city.

Colliers, which represented the landlord, Legacy Capital Partners, in the leasing and announced the move, says work on the space was extensive. It included new flooring and paint; construction of a separation wall with windows between the production and office areas; installation of additional roll-up doors; propane infrastructure for roasting equipment; and a replica café used for employee training and coffee education classes.

Kahwa currently has more than15 standalone café locations in Tampa, Sarasota and Texas, as well as 26 in-store locations at Publix stores.

The company also has more than 1,000 wholesale accounts Florida.

Colliers’ Dominic Hewitt represented Legacy Capital Partners in the lease transaction and David Kramer of Pridgen Realty represented Kahwa.

Terms of the lease were not disclosed.
