Renowned Retail Leader, Paul Rutledge, Joins LQ Tampa Team

LQ Commercial Tampa adds to its heavyweight commercial real estate class, announcing the addition of renowned retail powerhouse, Paul Rutledge, as Senior Broker Associate.

This blockbuster move unlocks an equilibrium of world-class achievements matched with entrepreneurial flexibility and extensive, customizable service. Clients gain access to LQ’s nimble, full-service solutions and creative latitude.

“I’m excited about making this change to a regional group,” said Rutledge. “I’ve known LQ leaders like Rokki Rogan, John Mounce and Julia Sosa for years; who mutually believe in a platform of ever-evolving service, creative marketing solutions, and extensive support – all with localized expertise. I’m thrilled to align with a Florida-based group with prolonged success across all commercial real estate sectors.”

A true real estate bellwether, Rutledge arrives with elite experience in site selection, project leasing, and portfolio services. For 35 years, he has shaped much of Florida’s commercial landscape.

Among his most passionate endeavors are the 33-acre, $20M redevelopment of the Winter Haven Mall to the 185,705-square-foot “City Centre” community center along Highway 17 (an accomplishment that earned him the “Business of the Year” award).

He was dually deemed as the Pompano Chamber’s “Man of the Year” for leasing the four-year, $100M, one million-square-foot revival of the “Pompano Citi Centre” open-air mall along South Florida’s infamous US 1. His roster of marquee clients ranged from Publix, Bealls, Home Depot, Ross, Wells Fargo, Panera Bread, Starbucks and more.

“We are delighted to welcome Paul to LQ,” said LQ President Daniel Butts. “With an impressive career – and a series of notable leadership roles – Paul is a distinguished veteran in our industry. We have no doubt Paul will hit the ground running to significantly bolster our already robust retail focus along Florida’s I-4 corridor and West Coast markets.”

Rutledge was recently the Senior Vice President at JLL, and previously First Vice President at CBRE. He built an exceptional foundation early in his commercial career as Chief Operating Officer at Casto and Retail Development Partner for Trammell Crow Company.

Beyond professional prowess, Rutledge is a dedicated community leader, serving on the Manatee County Planning and Zoning Board, and through the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Rutledge is a proud University of South Florida alumnus, whose civic engagement extends internationally. He is a charter member of the non-profit group “Palmetto Society” for the Arts, Culture, History and Education. He is also actively engaged in development work in the Dominican Republic.

For this exemplary leadership, and commitment to community engagement, Rutledge was invited to join the distinguished ranks of Phi Beta Sigma, a prestigious brotherhood that upholds service and cultural awareness.

With the addition of Rutledge’s tour de force expertise, LQ Commercial takes another momentous stride in solidifying its status as the preeminent retail real estate force in Florida. For details Paul, visit LQCRE.com/Paul-Rutledge.
